The Lascaux Cave in Montignac-Lascaux

An exceptional visit from Camping La Plage in Meyronne

Step into the legend of Lascaux

A world masterpiece of prehistory

From our Camping La Plage in Meyronne, a family campsite on the banks of the Dordogne, set off to discover a legendary site: the Lascaux Cave, in Montignac-Lascaux, in the Vézère Valley. Nicknamed the “Sistine Chapel of Prehistory”, it bears witness to the artistic genius of Cro-Magnon people.

Discovered in 1940, the original cave was closed to preserve it. But thanks to Lascaux IV, a spectacular replica, you can enjoy an unforgettable experience that combines authenticity and technology.
