On site, you can enjoy a lush green setting to fish for trout (stream and sinkhole), with rod hire available and bait for sale, then keep the fun going at the waterside restaurant, known for its trout-based dishes.

Fishing

At the Gouffre du Blagour, you can enjoy fishing either in full nature mode or in “guaranteed catch” mode. For the thrill, the Blagour stream (around 900 m) and the sinkhole are open for trout fishing, in a lush, very peaceful setting. You can fish with a fly rod, pole fishing, or with a reel (personal equipment allowed), with rod hire available and natural bait for sale on site. Please note: lure fishing is prohibited.

The restaurant: Trout takes centre stage

On site, the restaurant is the perfect option to turn your outing into a real foodie moment: you can sit by the sinkhole, often on an shaded terrace, and enjoy simple, tasty trout-focused dishes (e.g. grilled trout, and depending on the season burgers, tartare, wraps, roast, etc.). The restaurant is listed as open for lunch during the summer season (dates given as around late June to mid-September according to tourist information).

The fish farm: artisan breeding

Blagour is also a fish farm fed by natural springs (linked to an underground tributary), an ideal environment for artisan trout farming (notably rainbow trout and river/spring trout). And if you’d like to extend the experience back at the campsite, the shop lets you buy takeaway products: fresh trout, smoked trout, eggs, terrines / rillettes and other specialities depending on the season.
